The undergraduate orientation program of the newly admitted students for spring semester 2010 in the different undergraduate programs of East West University was held in the University Premises on Wednesday, 13 January 2010 at 10.00 a. m.

 

Dr.Rafiqul Huda Chaudhury, Member, Board of Directors of the university, graced the orientation program as the Chief Guest. Dr. Chaudhury in his speech urged the students to make the best use of the unique learning opportunities available at this university. He also advised the students not to misuse the existing facilities of the University. A total of 545 students got themselves admitted in this semester in the different undergraduate programs in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering, Pharmacy and English.

 

Professor Dr. Mohammed Sharif, Vice Chancellor of East West University in his concluding address as the program chair highlighted the existing infrastructure facilities, qualified faculty members in terms of their quality, knowledge and experience and availability of merit scholarship schemes of the university.

 

Professor Dr.Muniruddin Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university advised the students to abide by the rules and regulations of the university mentioned in the University Bulletin. Professor Dr. Mohamed Ruhul Amin, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics introduced the faculty members to the newly admitted students as well as parents and guardians in the orientation program. Colonel Shah Murtoza Ali (Retd.) Registrar gave the welcome address.
