Hello, I welcome and thank you all for visiting my website. I joined the Department of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka in 1976 as Lecturer. I did my PhD from Free University Berlin, Germany in 1982. I was promoted to Professor in 1992. I was awarded DAAD Scholarship for PhD, Senior DAAD, JSPS and prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Fellowships to pursue Post-doctoral research in Germany and Japan. For outstanding research I have been awarded Bangladesh Academy of Science Gold Medal, A.R. Chowdhury Memorial Gold Medal, H.H. Rahman Gold Medal and University Grants Commission Prize. Till now I have published more than 93 scientific research articles mostly in international journals. I am a columnist and write columns on regular basis on different issues, particularly on health, medicines and current national and international topics in different leading national daily newspapers. So far I have published 3 important books. At present I have been serving East West University as Pro Vice Chancellor.
