Brief Biography:
Dr. Tanbir Ahmed has over eighteen years of teaching experience
in the university level. He has received his Ph.D from University of Pune,
Poona, India in 1996. At present his has over twenty seven
articles & conference papers published in reputed research journals & conference proceedings both home and
abroad. He has also obtained M Com in Finance & Banking from the Dept. of Finance, University of Dhaka
and has secured the First Class 5th position. He has also received his B Com Honors in Finance from the Dept. of Finance, University of Dhaka
and has secured the First Class 4th position.
Dr.
Tanbir Ahmed has carried out the
responsibility of Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, East West
University, Mohakhali C/A, Dhaka, Bangladesh from June 22, 2008 to
September 13, 2009. He has also carried out the
responsibility of Chairperson, Department of Business
Administration, East West University, Mohakhali C/A, Dhaka,
Bangladesh from July 15, 2007 to September 14, 2009.
Dr. Tanbir Ahmed is now working in a research project entitled "An Appraisal of the Problems and
Prospects of SME Financing in Bangladesh", financed by Center for Research and Training (CRT), East West University. Dr. Tanbir Ahmed has evaluated about
twenty Ph.D.
theses as an external referee of diferent Indian & USA Universities. Mr.
Tanbir Ahmed is a life member of Bangladesh Finance Association and an
enlisted Researcher of Finance & Banking, Islamic Development Bank,
Jeddaha, K.S.A. |
