Ms. Nazia Hoque of Department of Pharmacy has received prestigious “SFE-Young Ethnopharmacologist Award” for best oral presentation in 18th International Congress of Ethnopharmacology.


Ms. Nazia Hoque, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, has received prestigious “SFE-Young Ethnopharmacologist Award” for best oral presentation in “18th International Congress of International Society for Ethnopharmacology and 5th International Congress of the Society for Ethnopharmacology, India (ISE-SFEC 2018)”held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 13th-15th January, 2018. She presented an original research entitled “Isolation and characterization of sterols from an endophytic fungus Fusarium solani”. She received the crest and certificate from eminent scientist Prof. Guillermo S. Hirschmann, President, International Society for Ethnopharmacology, and Prof. Pulok K. Mukherjee, Secretary, Society for Ethnopharmacology, India.

Scientists and participants from 32 different countries have participated in this esteemed congress. The theme of the congress was “Ethnopharmacology & Drug Development: Innovation meets Tradition” and focused on several crucial and contemporary issues on the scientific studies based on Ethnopharmacology and medicinal plants by the renowned scientists throughout the world.
