EWU Law team wins the CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE of the National Moot Court Competition 2025 organised by Map of Justice held at University of Asia Pacific (UAP)


East West University proudly announces that a team comprising of the students from the Department of Law, has achieved the Championship Title in the National Moot Court Competition 2025 organised by Map of Justice in partnership with University of Asia Pacific, House Juris, Bangladesh IP Forum and Old Bailey held from 31st October - 1st November, 2025 at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP). The final round of the competition was held on Saturday, 1st November 2025. The winning team from the Department of Law comprised Ms. Israt Jahan Sadia (Oralist), Mr. Md. Muktasin Fuad (Oralist), and Mr. Saroar Mohammad (Researcher). After successfully advancing through four rigorous rounds, the team emerged as champions, defeating the team from University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) in the final. The team was coached by Ms. Mashraba Naziat, Lecturer, Department of Law.

The competition also featured another outstanding team from East West University, mentored by Mr. Shaikh Mirazur Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Law, under the constant guidance of Ms. Oishe Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Law, which advanced to the semi-finals. Kazi Ayman Awsaf, a member of that team, received the Best Petitioner Award, further showcasing EWU’s depth of talent and excellence in mooting.

It was a highly competitive event featuring 26 teams from 20 leading public and private universities across Bangladesh, including the University of Dhaka, University of Chittagong, North South University, Independent University (IUB), and American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB), among others. The judges panels were presided over by Hon’ble Judges of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

This is a proud moment for the Department of Law, as years of dedication in mooting have led to another remarkable achievement. The championship marks East West University’s consecutive victory and second championship title in 2025, highlighting its growing prominence in national moot court competitions. EWU law students have consistently set exemplary standards across the country, and 2025 stands out as a remarkable year, where their success reflects both outstanding advocacy skills and a strong academic foundation built at East West University.
