On 25 September 2025, the Department of Pharmacy at East West University organized a vibrant day-long program to celebrate World Pharmacists Day. The event began early in the morning with a lively rally, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony. Professor Dr. Muhammad Ashik Mosaddik, the honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU; Professor Dr. Md. To mark the significance of this year's theme ‘Think Health, Think Pharmacist’, the students displayed colorful placards, highlighting the vital role pharmacists play in promoting health and well-being.

The Department of Pharmacy successfully organized a seminar titled “Pharmacists for Sustainable Healthcare in Bangladesh” in the afternoon at the Manzur Elahi Auditorium of the university campus. The program was honored by the gracious presence of Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Honorable Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Founder Vice Chancellor of EWU.

The Keynote Speaker, Mr. Md. Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, Chairman of Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and member of the Board of Trustees, EWU, highlighted the pivotal roles of pharmacists in hospitals. He also encouraged students to strengthen their professional knowledge through consistent study of standard textbooks, stressing that strong academic foundations are key to future success.

Mr. Muhammad Mahbubul Haq, Secretary of the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh, participated as the Discussant. The program was further enriched by the presence of Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Honorable Vice Chancellor of EWU, who attended as the Special Guest. The seminar was presided over by Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU.
