The Grand Inauguration Ceremony of SMC Plus Electrolyte Drink presents EWU Winter Smash 2026 held at East West University
On 05 April 2026, the grand Inauguration Ceremony of SMC Plus Electrolyte Drink EWU Winter Smash 2026, organized by the East West University Sports Club, marked a vibrant and a memorable beginning of the event. The ceremony was held at the courtyard of East West University and honored by the presence of the following distinguished personalities: Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, East West University (EWU), as the Chief Guest, along with Professor Dr. Md. Ashik Mosaddik, Pro Vice-Chancellor, EWU, Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan, Managing Director & CEO, SMC Enterprise Ltd, Mr. Abul Bashir Khan, FCMA, CFO, SMC Enterprise Ltd., Md. Ismail Hossain, Brand Manager, SMC Plus, Ishmat Shereen, Advisor, Students’ Welfare and Head of CCC, EWU, Professor Dr. Md. Mobarak Hossain Khan, Moderator, EWU Sports Club, and Abdur Rahaman Sumon, Moderator, EWU Sports Club.
A significant highlight of the event was the presentation of the Grand of Excellence awards, recognizing outstanding achievements and contributions in sports, to the following Badminton players of the country who are the champions of the previous EWU Winter Smash seasons, as follows - Tanjirul Islam Bappy, President, EWUSC Year 2014 to 2016 & first Champion in EWU badminton history and for achieving a championship at the EWU Winter Smash, Moajjam Hossain Ohidul, Bronze medalist in Canada Open for national achievement, Jhumar Al Amin for achieving numerous championships at EWU Winter Smash, Tasnim Noor for achieving numerous championships at the EWU Winter Smash, Rajesh Roy, for achieving numerous championships at the EWU Winter Smash, Mohammad Mukter Hossain, for achieving numerous championships at the EWU Winter Smash.
The unveiling of the trophy of the champions took place with the presence of the honorable guests and the executive panel of East West University Sports Club. A special attraction of the opening ceremony was the live concert featuring Highway, Ark, and Bagdhara. Their performances brought high energy to the stage and engaged the audience throughout the evening. Students enjoyed the music, sang along, and created a lively and joyful environment. The concert added a strong cultural touch to the event and made the opening ceremony more exciting and memorable.
