Congratulations to Our Pharmacy Faculty, Mst. Marium Begum!
We are thrilled to announce that Mst. Marium Begum, a distinguished faculty member of the Department of Pharmacy, East West University, currently on study leave to pursue her PhD at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio), has achieved an extraordinary milestone in her academic journey.
On November 24, 2024, she was featured on the U.S. Embassy Dhaka Facebook page, which has an incredible 7.3 million followers, in recognition of her groundbreaking work and achievements.
During her doctoral studies, she was awarded the prestigious NIH T-32 COSTAR predoctoral grant, one of the most competitive honors for federal doctoral students across the United States. Mst. Marium is the first Bangladeshi student to receive this prestigious grant, competing against exceptional students nationwide. Her research focuses on epigenetics and neuroinflammation, making significant contributions to global STEM advancements.
