EWU Undergrad Law Student Published on Opinio Juris, a Leading Global International Law Platform
East West University congratulates Kazi Ayman Awsaf, an undergraduate student and Teaching Assistant in the Department of Law, on the publication of his article in Opinio Juris.
His piece, "Return on Whose Terms? What The Gambia v. Myanmar Should Say About Going Home", was published on 9 October 2026.
Founded in 2005, Opinio Juris was the world's first blog dedicated to informed discussion of international law by academics, practitioners and legal experts. Published in association with the International Commission of Jurists, it is read daily in more than 70 countries and its posts have been cited by international and domestic courts, arbitrators and government officials, as well as in thousands of academic and professional publications.
Publication on a platform of this standing is a significant achievement for an undergraduate student and reflects the quality of legal education and research at East West University.
