Position: Software Quality assurance (SQA) Engineer

Job Context:

Quality Assurance is a core part of the development lifecycle at W3 Engineers. We are seeking Quality Assurance Testers to ensure the reliability, performance, security, and usability of web and AI-enabled applications. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires hands-on experience in website QA, test automation, API testing, and performance testing.


Key Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, designs, and technical specifications to identify test scenarios and edge cases.

• Perform manual testing on websites and web applications to ensure functionality, usability, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.

•  Execute regression, smoke, and sanity testing across releases.

• Perform API testing to validate data integrity, error handling, and response behavior.

• Conduct performance, load, and basic security testing where applicable.

• Test AI-driven features for accuracy, consistency, edge cases, and failure scenarios.

•  Identify, document, and track bugs clearly using issue tracking tools.

• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.

• Ensure releases meet quality standards before deployment.


Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Proven experience (at least 2-3 years) in website and web application testing.

• Strong understanding of QA processes, test planning, and test case writing.

• Hands-on experience with web automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST clients.

• Working knowledge of performance and quality analysis tools, including JMeter and Lighthouse.

• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience testing across multiple browsers and devices.

• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

• Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.


Nice to Have:

• Experience testing AI-powered features or data-driven systems.

• Knowledge of basic security testing concepts (OWASP Top 10 awareness).

• Experience with CI-integrated test automation.

• Understanding Agile or Scrum development processes.
