- Fully Funded British Council Women in STEM Scholarships: Information Webinar
The University of Manchester is collaborating with the British Council to offer a limited number of fully funded Women in STEM Scholarships for outstanding female students from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka who wish to pursue a one-year STEM master’s programme in the UK. The University of Manchester would greatly appreciate your support in promoting this opportunity to eligible final-year students and alumni who are considering postgraduate study abroad.
To support our students and colleagues, they are pleased to invite our students to an online information webinar, where participants will:

- Hear directly from previous Women in STEM

- British Council GREAT Scholarship
In another exciting collaboration with the British Council, The University of Manchester is offering one GREAT Scholarship worth £15,000 to a student from Bangladesh studying a taught master’s course at the University starting in September 2026.
The GREAT Scholarships 2026 programme, launched by the British Council together with over 60 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam in accessing world-class UK higher education opportunities.
Manchester’s £15,000 award will be awarded as a discount on published overseas tuition fees. Students must be a permanent resident and passport holder of the named country, and hold an offer of study at Manchester, in order to apply. Eligible offer holders will be invited to apply by email. - University of Manchester Global Futures Postgraduate Scholarships
We're proud to offer awards totalling more than £6 million to international students starting their studies in September 2026, including more than 200 merit-based scholarships to prospective international students from a range of countries across the globe.
The value of The Global Futures Scholarships for South Asian students is £10,000. Scholarships will be awarded as a discount on published overseas tuition fees.
Within South Asia, the awards are open to applicants domiciled in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
