“Bornil Bangaliana” organized by East West University Club for Performing Arts

“Bornil Bangaliana” was a vibrant cultural event organized by East West University Club for Performing Arts on 08th May 2025, with the aim of celebrating the rich heritage and colorful traditions of Bengali culture. The event brought together students, faculty members, and guests to immerse themselves in the diverse expressions of Bengali identity through art, music, dance, drama, and fashion. In parallel, an exhibition was held displaying artwork, handicrafts, and traditional decorations created by club members, promoting local creativity and craftsmanship.
This event, along with the lively Mela, highlighted the charm of Bangladeshi traditions and reaffirmed the significance of embracing and celebrating the country’s cultural roots. The Mela was a delightful addition to the event, featuring over 11 vibrant stalls showcasing an array of traditional handcrafted items, and other cultural treasures. The Mela ended with a vibrant cultural program where the performers of ECPA showcased their raw talent in forms of drama, dance and music. Reputed Bangla music band “Kaaktaal” performed as the showstopper of the event.
The primary objective of “Bornil Bangaliana” was to promote cultural appreciation and unity among students by showcasing the essence of Bangladeshi heritage in a festive and creative atmosphere. The event also aimed to provide a platform for young performers to express their talents and passion for the arts.
Esteemed guests, including Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, and Ismat Shereen, Adviser, Department of Students’ Welfare also attended the event along with faculty members, university officials, and spirited students. Their participation highlighted the value of preserving cultural heritage and the crucial role such events play in deepening the university community’s appreciation for tradition and identity.
