Certificate Awarding Ceremony on Teachers’ Training Program

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), in collaboration with the East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT) at East West University (EWU), organized a certificate awarding ceremony to honor faculty members who successfully completed a four-month long training program on Teaching, Learning, and Research (TLR-3). The event took place at the Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery on 26 February 2026. A total of thirty-two faculty members from ten academic departments received certificates in recognition of their dedication and successful completion of the program.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Professor Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering and Additional Director of IQAC at EWU. Following this, Puja Chakraborty, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and Md. Shaikh Mirazur Rahman, Lecturer in the Department of Law shared their experiences during the four-month training program. They outlined how the initiative enhanced their teaching methodologies, research skills and overall professional development.
Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU, highlighted the necessity of continuous professional development, innovative teaching methods and a strong research culture within higher education. He urged the faculty members to utilize the skills gained from this training to enhance classroom engagement, uphold academic integrity and contribute substantially to research and publication. He, furthermore, appreciated the dedication of the participants and encouraged them to maintain high standard of teaching and research excellence for the advancement of the university.
Air Cdre (Retd.) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer, Deans from various faculties, the Chairpersons of all academic departments, senior professors, officials from the IQAC and EWUCRT were present at this occasion. Dr. Basanta Kumar Barmon, Additional Director of IQAC, coordinated the four-month-long Teachers’ Training Program and organized the certificate awarding ceremony with dedication and professionalism.
