East West University Observes World Teachers' Day 2026

Oct 05, 2026

On October 05, 2026, East West University (EWU) observed World Teachers' Day at the Manzur Elahi Auditorium, honoring the dedication, passion, and invaluable contributions of our esteemed faculty members. This year, the global community marks 60 years since the 1966 ILO/UNESCO recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers. EWU proudly aligns with UNESCO's global theme for World Teachers' Day 2026: "Standing with teachers: 60 years of protecting the profession, advancing its status and shaping our futures."

Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Founder Vice Chancellor of EWU, along with Professor Dr. Ashik Mosaddik, Vice Chancellor (Acting), emphasized the crucial role that teachers play in shaping minds, inspiring excellence, and building a brighter future.

As a gesture of gratitude and appreciation, Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin presented flower bouquets to the Vice Chancellor (Acting) and all the Deans of East West University. To all our incredible teachers who guide, inspire, and empower us every single day—Happy World Teachers' Day!
