East West University Photography club’s student shine on global photography stage

East West University Photography club thrilled to announce that Shafaeat Jamil, one of the esteemed club member and current Vice-President has achieved a remarkable feat in the world of photography by securing the third prize in the prestigious Xiaomi Imagery Award 2023, supported by the iconic Leica. This annual competition, hosted by Xiaomi since 2019, stands as a testament to the global celebration of artistic vision, bringing together talent from 190 countries and amassing an impressive collection of over 700,000 photos. The photo represents the immense dedication behind a perfect timing and a position that speaks volumes about Shafaeat’s commitment to the photography.

East West University Photography Club is also proud to announce that Mahdin Shafiq Omi, another esteemed club member and the current Event Coordinator of East West University Photography Club, has been selected as the "National Award Winner for Bangladesh" in the prestigious "Sony World Photography Awards". In the principal competition of the World Photography Organization, the images that emerged victorious at both national and regional levels were captured by photographers hailing from 54 different countries. These photographers underwent anonymous evaluation by a panel of judges.

Omi and Jamil have shown their talent and passion for photography through their work at the "East West University Photography Club and we wish them all the best for their future endeavors and hope they will continue pursuing their dreams with confidence and creativity.
