East West University Welcomes Freshers for the Fall Semester 2025

Sep 25, 2025

East West University (EWU) welcomed approximately 1,800 newly admitted students through a comprehensive Orientation Program for the Fall Semester of 2025. The program took place on September 25, 2025, at the EWU campus in Aftabnagar, Dhaka. Each academic department organized separate orientation sessions tailored to their specific fields. These departmental programs provided detailed information about academic guidelines, course structures, faculty introductions, university rules and regulations, and support services.

Esteemed dignitaries were attending the program, including Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Founder Vice Chancellor of EWU; Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU; Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU; and Air Commodore (retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer of EWU. The Deans of the faculties also participated in the orientation programs. A distinguished guest from the industry, Ms. Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd., also delivered her speech on the occasion.

The speakers advised the newly admitted students to focus on individual skills development in this era of advanced artificial intelligence. They encouraged the students to enjoy their studies and learn from the experiences provided by campus life.

To add vibrancy to the day, the Department of Student Welfare at EWU organized a colorful Club Fair showcasing 22 student-run clubs. Each club set up stalls to display their activities and initiatives, encouraging freshers to engage in co-curricular activities alongside their academic journey.
