East West University Wins Championship in Faculty & Admin Doubles at Winter Smash 2026

The SMC Plus EWU Winter Smash 2026, organized by the East West University Sports Club, stood as a remarkable celebration of inter-university sportsmanship, talent, and competitive excellence. Featuring participation from over 43 universities across the country, the tournament brought together some of the finest badminton players competing across multiple categories.
Among the standout performers was Hasibur Rahman, who holds the No. 7 national ranking in the Mixed Doubles category under the Bangladesh Badminton Federation (BBF). His presence significantly elevated the level of competition in the Faculty & Admin Doubles segment. Partnering with Dr. Md. Tauhid Bin Iqbal, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, he demonstrated exceptional skill, tactical awareness, and consistency throughout the tournament.
Competing against strong contenders from 43 universities, the duo emerged as Champions, securing the 1st prize in the Faculty & Admin Doubles category. Their victory not only reflected their outstanding teamwork but also highlighted Hasibur Rahman’s national-level caliber and competitive dominance on the court.
