EWU Delegation Pays Courtesy Visit to the Chancellor & President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh

A high-level delegation from East West University (EWU), led by Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, EWU, paid a courtesy visit to the University Chancellor and the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Md. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the Bangabhaban on 06 October 2026.
During the meeting, the delegation discussed the University’s academic programs and ongoing activities, as well as broader developments in the higher education sector in Bangladesh. Professor Farashuddin briefed the President on EWU’s academic offerings and diverse facilities, which currently serve more than 16,000 students.
A key highlight of the discussion was the planning of East West University’s 26th Convocation. The President has consented to preside over the upcoming convocation.
The EWU delegation included Ms. Munize Manzur, Member of the Board of Trustees, EWU, Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik, Vice-Chancellor (Acting), and Md. Mashfiqur Rahman, the Registrar of EWU. Senior officials from the President's Secretariat were also present during the meeting.
