EWU Welcomes Newly Admitted Students for Summer Semester 2026

East West University (EWU) organized an orientation program for approximately 2,200 newly admitted students for the Summer Semester of 2026. The event was held on May 14, 2026, at the university's campus in Aftabnagar, Dhaka. The departmental orientation sessions were intended to familiarize the freshmen with the university’s academic culture, the rigorous code of conduct, and various facilities, including scholarship opportunities. These sessions offered a comprehensive overview of the students' upcoming academic journeys.
The programs were graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, and the founder Vice Chancellor of EWU, Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU, Professor Dr. Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor, EWU, Air Cdre (retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer, EWU, Deans of different faculties, Department Chairpersons, faculty members, and students participated in the festivities. Notably, successful alumni and industry leaders also joined the sessions to share professional insights and inspire the new cohort toward excellence.
The speakers encouraged the students to uphold the university's core values and ethical standards throughout their academic lives. They urged the students to develop leadership qualities, communication skills, and a mindset of continuous learning so that they can contribute effectively to society and succeed in an increasingly competitive and technology-driven world.
