EWUCRT Arranges A Seminar on Supply Chains

The East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT) organised a seminar titled “Changing Landscape of Supply Chains – What to Teach and Research?” on April 23, 2024, at the ‘Manzur Elahi’ auditorium of East West University(EWU).

The esteemed speaker for the event was Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU. Professor Rahman presented a comprehensive analysis of supply chain management. He mentioned the key research area where the supply chain could play a vital role. Dr. Shams also points out how supply chains are involved throughout the various stages of the Industrial Revolution. His presentation also explored how supply chains have adapted and evolved alongside technological advancements. Professor Rahman discussed mainly global content and new approaches to supply chain management in many respects of Bangladesh's economy. The seminar fostered an interactive environment, culminating in a lively Questioning & Answering session where attendees engaged with Professor Rahman on key aspects of supply chain management education and research. Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser and founder Vice Chancellor of EWU have also taken part in the Q&A session of the seminar.

The seminar was conducted by Dr. Rafiqul Huda Chaudhury, Chairperson, EWUCRT. Prof. Dr. Muhammed Shahriar Haque, Executive Director, EWUCRT, has given the introductory speech on the occasion.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Air Cdre (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer, Deans, Faculty Members, and Officials of EWUCRT of EWU attended the seminar. This seminar provided valuable insights for researchers, educators, professionals and academics in supply chain management.
