Finxcel 9.0: Unlocking Excel Mastery organized by East West University Investment and Finance Club

The East West University Investment and Finance Club, in association with CodeCarfters International, proudly hosted the ninth season of FINXCEL, an inter university excel based training and competition, with the tagline, “Unlock Excel Mastery” was aimed at courageous university students to showcase and testify their excel might to the world. In today's digital work environment, Excel is more than a spreadsheet program; students were given real, hands-on learning experiences that prepared them for a number of careers in business, finance, research, and more.
The 1st Online Workshop, “Mastering Basic Excel” on 29th April, 2025 had kicked off with inspiring addresses by Mr. Leo Vashkor Dewri Sir, Moderator of EWUIFC and by S.M Moshi Uz Zaman, President of EWUIFC. Later, the workshop was conducted by Mahtab Ahmed Adib, CSCA, sales analyst of Walton. Starting from basic excel information to formulas for counting, every basic concept of Microsoft Excel.
The 2nd Online Workshop, “Intermediate Excel Leaning” was conducted by Tanvir Rahman, founder of Tanvir Academy, on 30th April, 2025. He started off with Data Validation and slowly let the participants familiarize themselves with excel concepts of Pivot Table, VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP.
The 1st round of FINXCEL, “Excel Foundation Challenge” was conducted online on 1st May, 2025. This highly competitive round was judged by professionals like Nicolas Dipta Gomes, Nizam Iqbal Udoy, Md. Jibran Hossain and others.
“Advanced Excel Techniques” the 3rd workshop was conducted by Rahadul Islam, Treasury Analyst of ACI limited and Nicolas Dipta Gomes, Assistant Vice President of CAL Bangladesh on 9th of May 2025 at East West University Campus.
On the 10th of May, the finale of FINXCEL 9.0, "Advanced Excel Showdown," took place, where the finalists tested their skills in the ultimate game of accuracy, quickness, and strategy. It was judged by competition professionals such as Nicholas Dipta Gomes, Mahbub Rahman Nafee, Tamrin Al Deen and many more.
The FINXCEL 9.0 Award Ceremony took place on 10th May at the Auditorium, East West University, and was a celebration filled with jubilation and pride. We are honored to have Chief Guest, the high honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Special Guest Professor Dr. Tanbir Ahmed Chowdhury, and Jisan Mahmud, CodeCrafters International Ltd. Lead Software Engineer, as our Guest of Honor. Their visit completed our celebration of analytical perseverance and achievement on our finalists.
