The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of East West University (EWU) organized a day-long Orientation Program on 24 January 2026 to welcome newly recruited faculty members of EWU. The event aimed to integrate the new educators into the university’s academic culture and uphold the institution's commitment to educational excellence.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Founder Vice Chancellor of EWU, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, Professor Farashuddin shared the foundational vision of the university and emphasized the vital role faculty play in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU, attended as the Special Guest. He highlighted the university's dedication to research, quality teaching, and maintaining a global standard of education. The program commenced with welcome remarks from Professor Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza, Additional Director of IQAC and Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering, who outlined the objectives of the orientation.

The session was attended by several high-ranking officials and academic leaders, including Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik, Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Anup Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Professor Dr. Farzana Akhter, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Dr. Basanta Kumar Barmon, Additional Director, IQAC, among others. A total of sixteen new faculty members from various departments participated in the day-long program.
