East West University Club for Performing Arts organized a cultural program Report on “Geetsharothi”


The East West University Club for Performing Arts organized a cultural program to celebrate Rabindra and Nazrul Jayanti at the East West University Auditorium on 12th June 2023. The event featured recitations, dance dramas, and musical performances, along with speeches and a poetry recital by renowned personalities. 

The participants displayed excellent diction, rhythm, and emotional delivery, capturing the essence of Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam's works. The dances presented during the event were mesmerizing. The choreography was creative and synchronized, complementing the themes of Tagore and Nazrul's compositions. The performers demonstrated their talent, grace, and expressive abilities, captivating the audience with their energetic and captivating performances. In the event, there was a short drama from the story of “Raktokorobi” which was outstanding. The musical performances were a major highlight of the program. The singers showcased their skills in rendering Tagore and Nazrul songs with sincerity and emotion. The choice of songs ranged from soulful melodies to lively compositions, providing a delightful experience for the audience. The speech delivered by the Treasurer Sir, Air Cdre (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury was informative and inspiring. He shed light on the cultural significance of Rabindra and Nazrul Jayanti, emphasized the importance of their contributions to Bengali literature and music. The poetry recital by Kamrul Hassan Sir was a captivating addition to the program. His powerful delivery and profound verses left a lasting impact on the audience. The event not only entertained but also enriched the attendees' understanding and appreciation of Bengali literature and music.
