Teachers’ Training Program on “Teaching, Learning, and Research”

As part of the Teachers’ Training Program on “Teaching, Learning, and Research”, the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Center for Research and Training (CRT) at East West University (EWU) have jointly organized Module 7: “Industry-Academia Collaboration: Current Industry Trend and Bridging Academia-Industry Linkage” on 26 June 2025 for the Lecturers and Senior Lecturers of EWU. The program started with a welcome address by Professor Dr. Sufia Islam, Director of IQAC.
Professor Dr. Sutapa Bhattacharjee from the Institute of Business Administration at the University of Dhaka served as a resource person, discussing the important connection between academic institutions and industrial sectors. Dr. Bhattacharjee pointed out that a strong partnership between academic institutions and industry is crucial for driving innovation, economic growth, and the development of a skilled workforce.
Strong partnerships between these sectors not only enhance research and development but also provide students with practical experience, equipping them with the skills necessary for a competitive job market.
In addition, a workshop was conducted where participants focused on the topic of future skills development for improved employability. The trainees worked within four categories: cognitive skills, interpersonal skills, self-leadership, and digital technology. These skills will be implemented in the classroom to help students develop future competencies that enhance their employability.
The participants found the program fruitful and thanked the EWU authority and IQAC for organizing this program. At the end of the program, Dr. Basanta Kumar Barmon, Additional Director of IQAC expressed his immense gratitude to the respected expert members and faculty members for making the training program a complete success.
