Teachers’ Training Program on “Teaching, Learning, and Research”

A comprehensive series of training modules has been conducted as part of the Teachers' Training Program titled "Teaching, Learning, and Research (TLR 2)" at East West University (EWU) from June to July 2025. This program is organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT). The modules cover a range of topics aimed at empowering educators and enhancing their professional competencies, including:
- “Continuing Professional Development (CPD)” explores its significance and profound impact on maintaining high standards of quality assurance in education.
- “E-learning and Learning Management System” examines the transformative role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in modern education, facilitating enhanced learning experiences.
- “Attributes of a Good Teacher” describes key characteristics that define effective teaching and how they contribute to student success.
- “Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion”, which fosters an understanding of the importance of creating an inclusive learning environment that respects and celebrates diversity.
- “Sexual Harassment Policy” raises awareness about the policies at EWU to ensure a safe and respectful educational environment for all participants.
- “Health and Well-Being”: Focusing on essential strategies for time and stress management, as well as psychological stimulation, to promote overall well-being among the faculty members.
Senior faculty members from EWU and the external experts conducted the sessions. Each topic was presented clearly, helping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for their professional growth and the advancement of their teaching practices. A total of 34 faculty members from various departments of EWU participated in the program. The trainees engaged actively in a variety of activities facilitated by resource persons. They worked closely together and exchanged ideas on different tasks during the interactive sessions. These activities promoted teamwork and communication skills while enhancing their understanding of the topics.
