EWU National RoboFest 2026 concludes with grand prize giving ceremony

East West University Robotics Club brought the two-day EWU National RoboFest 2026 to a close with its Closing and Prize Giving Ceremony, held on 29 June at the University Auditorium. Supported by the ICT Division, this year's festival carried a total prize pool of over Tk 160,000.

The ceremony began at 4 pm with a short recap of the two-day event, followed by the guests taking their seats on stage. The Pro-Vice Chancellor,Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik delivered the opening speech and handed over a crest to the ICT Division. The Pro-Vice Chancellor and the Dean,professor Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza then jointly presented crests to representatives of all partner organisations, including Education Partner Caretutors, Strategic Partner HBD Services, ISP Partner BracNet, CTF Partner CYBER BANGLA, Gaming Partner Global Brand, Hosting Partner GOTMYHOST, Robotics Partner Robodemy, Ice Cream Partner Savoy and Esports Partner ZENETIC ESPORTS.

This was followed by speeches from the Deputy Secretary of the ICT Division,Mr. Md. Moynul Haque Bhuiyan and the club moderators. The highlight of the evening was the prize giving segment, where winners across six categories were honoured in alphabetical order. Capture The Flag, Gaming (Valorant), Line Follower Robot, Project Showcasing and Robo Soccer saw prizes awarded for Champion, 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up. As an individual event, Gaming (E-Football) recognised only the Champion and 1st Runner Up.The Dean's closing remarks brought the formal segment to an end. The festival then wrapped up with a vibrant cultural programme, attended by nearly all participants, volunteers and faculty members.Participation across the two days remained strong throughout. In Capture The Flag, 25 of 149 registered teams advanced to the final round. Gaming (Valorant) saw the top two teams qualify from a pool of 61. In Line Follower Robot, 41 of 55 teams reached the finale, while Project Showcasing had 43 of 50 teams qualify. Robo Soccer saw 34 finalists from 42 registered teams, and in the individual E-Football segment, the top two of 111 registered participants competed in the final round.

The organisers hope that national platforms like RoboFest will continue to inspire students across the country toward innovation, technology and real-world problem solving.
